Y swydd

 

Mae Skills Plus+ yn ymyrraeth meithrin sgiliau seicogymdeithasol ar gyfer Pobl Ifanc â Phrofiad o Fod mewn Gofal rhwng 14 a 24 oed. Rydym yn darparu ymyrraeth wybodus therapiwtig drwy fethodoleg therapi ymddygiad dialectig (DBT) a therapi gwybyddol ymddygiadol (CBT) i wella llesiant emosiynol a chymdeithasol defnyddwyr ein gwasanaethau.

Mae'r gwasanaeth wedi'i anelu at Bobl Ifanc â Phrofiad o Fod Mewn Gofal sy'n profi trallod sylweddol ac anawsterau mawr gyda pherthnasoedd, sy'n dioddef o hwyliau gwael ac iselder, sy'n ei chael hi'n anodd cadw cysondeb ac nad ydynt o bosibl yn cyflawni eu potensial. Rydym hefyd yn canolbwyntio ar gyflogadwyedd. Gyda'n gilydd, rydym yn gweithio i roi'r sgiliau bywyd ymarferol ac emosiynol i bobl ifanc i'w galluogi i dyfu'n oedolion hapus ac iach.

Ydych chi'n unigolyn angerddol ac empathig gydag agwedd gadarnhaol, sy'n barod i fynd yr ail filltir i wella'r cyfnod pontio i bobl ifanc â phrofiad o fod mewn gofal? Os felly, dewch i ymuno â'n tîm. Ar hyn o bryd rydym yn recriwtio Gweithwyr Pobl Ifanc i weithio yn ein gwasanaeth Skills Plus+. Bydd y swydd hon yn golygu gweithio gyda Phobl Ifanc â Phrofiad o Fod Mewn Gofal rhwng 14 - 24 oed yng Nghaerdydd a'r Fro.

 

Byddwch yn gwneud gwahaniaeth drwy:

 

- Gefnogi tîm sefydledig o Ymarferwyr Pobl Ifanc, eich rôl fydd cyd-hwyluso grwpiau CBT i hyrwyddo meddyliau a pherthnasoedd cadarnhaol.

- Defnyddio offer CBT i annog ymgysylltiad â Phobl Ifanc â Phrofiad o Fod Mewn Gofal ac i archwilio emosiynau a gwella eu hiechyd a'u llesiant.

- Adeiladu a chynnal perthnasoedd cadarnhaol ac ymrwymo i ddarparu amgylchedd diogel.

- Mynychu cyfarfodydd gydag unigolion allweddol eraill sy'n ymwneud â gofal Defnyddwyr Gwasanaethau a chwblhau gwaith papur perthnasol.

- Cynnal sesiynau 1:1 gyda defnyddwyr gwasanaethau risg isel

Young Persons Worker

Circa £17,600 per annum pro rata

FTC until March 2023 working 18.5 hours per week which can be negotiated at interview stage but must be worked within the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday

 

Giving children and young people the foundations, they need to thrive.

 

The role

 

Skills Plus+ is a psychosocial skill building intervention for Care Experienced Young People (CEYP) aged between 14 and 24. We provide a therapeutic informed  intervention through DBT and CBT methodology to improve the emotional and social well-being of our service users.

The service is for CEYP who experience significant distress and relationship difficulties, showing low mood and depressive tendencies, struggling to maintain consistency and who may not be fulfilling their potential. We also focus on employability. Together, we are working to give young people the practical and emotional life skills to enable them to transition into happy, healthy adults.

Are you a passionate and empathic individual with a positive attitude, who is willing to go the extra mile to improve the transition period for CEYP? If so, come join our team. We are currently recruiting for Young Persons Workers to work in our Skills Plus + service. This post will be working with Care Experienced Young People aged between 14 – 24 across Cardiff and Vale.

 

You will make a difference by:

 

- Supporting an already established team of Young Person Practitioners, your role will be to co-facilitate CBT groups to promote positive thoughts and relationships.

- Using CBT tools to encourage engagement with CEYP and to also explore emotions and improve their health and wellbeing.

- Building and maintaining positive relationships and committing to providing a safe environment.

- Attending meetings with other key individuals involved in the care of a Service User and completing relevant paperwork.

- Conducting 1:1 sessions with service users at low risk

 

We are looking for a person who has:

 

- An active interest in psychology and well-being.

- A positive and proactive approach.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Ability to build and maintain excellent rapport with service users and professionals.

- Sound knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding.

- IT Literate.

- Driver's Licence and have access to own car.

- Awareness and empathy of the issues Young People may face in care.
