Action for Children

Role: Administrative Officer

Salary: £23,151.50 per annum (Pro-rata)

Location: Remote (Must be Cornwall based)

Permanent:  Part-Time - 22 hours a week4 days a week

A bit about the role 

Action for Children Cornwall SPACE is a Cornwall Council funded service providing Holiday Activities and youth groups for disabled children and young people aged between 5 – 25 years. We offer disabled children and young people exciting new activities to try, providing families with an all-important short break service. 

As an Administrative Officer, you will be predominantly responsible for providing excellent administrative support by  providing a first-class administrative service to colleagues and service users.

What you will be doing in the role of Administrative Officer:

  • Presenting data required by the senior business support officer for internal and external reporting: weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end.
  • Working to a high standard, on administrative tasks that support the team.
  • Providing a smooth-running service that is busy and evolving by working collaboratively in a team. 
  • Giving a warm and welcoming disposition as first point of contact to colleagues, parents, and professionals.

You will need: 

  • Business Administration S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Confidence in the of use of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team environment and work independently with initiative.
  • To be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally to a range of different people.
  • To take responsibility for a project or task and deliver within agreed timescales.
  • To manage and prioritise your own workload within agreed deadlines.
  • Proactive with the ability to work remotely on your own.
  • Attention to detail - this is essential.
