Giving children and young people the foundations they need to thrive.
Do you have what it takes to make a difference? We are looking for that special person who can make sure each and every one of our children and young people are safe, relaxed and well supported during their stay at Tayavalla.
Tayavalla is a short breaks service based in Camelon, Falkirk offering residential short breaks to children and young people with complex health care needs, learning and physical disabilities. We encourage inclusion, ensuring that the children and young people are part of the wider community, through outings and activities we aim to provide a fun and stimulating environment for all our young people.
We are looking for casual workers to be flexible enough to work shifts on a last minute basis to cover sickness, holidays and ad hoc shift requests.

-Supporting children to achieve positive outcomes for their future.
-Providing a safe environment for them to enjoy time with their friends.
-Giving families the break they need to continue supporting their children.
-Assisting the children in all aspects of their care and supporting their health and wellbeing.
You will need:
-A qualification to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a residential child care worker
-Ideally, a HNC and SVQ 3 in a social care discipline, or a qualification in social care, nursing, education, which would meet the registration requirements.
-Applications from candidates with only a HNC qualification will be considered as the opportunity to undertake SVQ studies will exist.
-Knowledge and experience of supporting children with a disability would also be an advantage.
