Role: Administrative Officer

Circa Salary: £20,000 per annum, pro-rata

Permanent Full-Time Hours: 20 Hours a week  - 4 hours a day Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm start and finish time flexible to suit your work/life balance.

What you'll be doing:

In the role of Administrative Officer you will work as part of a team working with one other senior members of staff, including the Senior Business Support Officer, a co-ordinator and team leaders and support workers.


You'll do this by:

  • Providing data required by the senior business support officer for internal and external reporting: monthly, quarterly and year-end.
  • Accurately keeping record of processes to keep the team informed of completed stages at any given time.
  • Provide day-to-day admin support to the service including reporting and monitoring repairs, ordering goods, booking agency, checking and processing agency and internal staff timesheets, processing and recording parent payments, quarterly parent mail-outs, track service expenditure, etc.

 

What we need from you:

  • Business Administration S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or work experience.
  • Experience of MS Windows and Office, along with email and internet and specific business applications i.e. finance.
  • To work within a team environment, demonstrating tact and diplomacy with other members of staff and where necessary to direct and guide. 
  • To take responsibility for a project or task and deliver within agreed timescales.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn new processes and demonstrate good practice to others, whilst using your excellent communication skills.

Bucks Activity Project is part of the Action for Children Countywide Integrated Short Breaks Service, commissioned by Buckinghamshire Council and provides community short breaks to children and young people aged 0-19 with disabilities and additional learning needs across Buckinghamshire with over 250 children currently registered.
